The founder and CEO of Acosys, Vic Dickson, is a young man with passion for both Internet technology and business in general.
In 1998, Mr. Dickson founded Transco, a software localization company. Since then Transco has successfully managed high growth in emerging as one of the largest software localization service providers, serving global IT customers like Autodesk, Dell, and Siemens. With insightful managerial wisdom, Dickson made Transco the first software localization firm to be certified by ISO 9001 in China and CMMI in software localization engineering and testing in the industry.
In 2006, Mr. Dickson assisted the merger of Transco into Welocalize, one of the world’s leading software localization companies, with a total combined revenue exceeding $30 million. Within the next year he began a new venture in founding Acosys.
Mr. Dickson is active in transforming and challenging traditional business practices with up-to-date information and Internet technologies. The initiatives include launching the first vertical search engine in software localization industry and advocating for Open Source development of translation software. His views on technology and business were widely quoted in software localization community, and his articles could be seen from Client Side News magazine, LISA Newsletter, and Multilingual Computing magazine.
In his spare time, Mr. Dickson studies a wide variety of topics. On weekends he enjoys listening to music at home, and hiking in the mountainous areas.
